James 5 : 16, 17 The fervent prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much.
Elijah was a man with a nature like ours and he prayed intensely for it not to rain and it did not rain on the earth for three years and six months
1st Kings 18 : 41, 42
Now Elijah said to Ahab, “Go up, eat and drink, for there is a sound of the roar of an abundance of rain.”
So Ahab went up to eat and to drink. And Elijah went up to the top of Carmel; and he crouched down to the earth and put his face between his knees.
Elijah went up to the top of Carmel.
God is going to give those who believe spots like Carmel, where you will do prayers that are going to be effective. Your prayer life will turn around so much that with confidence you will be able to say to people go up to eat and drink and guarantee the answer of the problem.
Why did Elijah went up to Mount Carmel to prayer. He went up because little before there happened something very transformative. 1st Kings Chapter 18 : 30 He repaired the altar of the Lord that had been torn down.
This means the altar of the Lord was there earlier on the mountain, however Quenn Jezebel and the prophets eating at her table broke the altar and established altars of Baal and Asherah.
Carmel the names meaning is God’s garden. This was the place from where beautiful aroma would raise to the presence of God. However when the altars of Baal and Asherah was built from the very place stench began to come.
But now the story has changed Elijah who is of the same nature as ours has killed the prophets and broken down the unclean altars of the foreign God. He has repaired the altar of the Lord. Now what is left for Elijah is again to do in that place is raise the fragrance of prayer in the presence of God. Breakdown the altar of the foreign gods in you life, kill the mediators that bring foreign gods life and establish the altar of the Lord one more time. Then go up to same Carmel, the garden of God raise the fragrance of prayer in that place.
Revelation 8 : 3,4 Another angel , who had a golden censer, came and stood at the altar. He was given much incense to offer, with the prayers of all God’s people.
When he destroyed the altar of Baal and restored the altar of God, he opened the portal of prayer in Israel.
Moses knew about this He stepped out of the Camp to see God face to face.
Exodus 33 : 7 He took his own tent and pitch it outside the camp. He went to see God face to face. This is the level of Prayer the SPIRIT meets the spirit.
There are different levels of prayers most are only in the soul realm but today I want to tell there is a deeper level. Altogether a different pathway of a prayer. Moses took this tent outside and then sought after God there, so much the God began to speak to Moses face to face, just as a man speaks to a friend. The God Spirit meeting the Man spirit.
In this place you can ask of God to show his ways and Psalms 103:7 He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel.
In this place he will reveal his ways to you. I just want to now focus on the subject of the ways of God.
To be honest Bible says Isaiah 55 : 9 The ways of the Lord are higher than our ways and Romans 11 : 33 How unsearchable are His ways past finding out.
Ecclesiates 11 : 5 Just as you do not know the way and path of the wind or how the bones are formed in the womb of a pregnant woman, even so you do not know the activity of God who makes all things.
This way which cannot be known and found in this place of prayer you will be able to know that way in this prayer place.
If a way is told to you it will be either an existing way or he will create a new way.
Isaiah 45 : 13 if it is an existing he will make your way smooth
If there is no path existing He will create a way for you.
Psalms 136 : 16 He led his people through the wilderness.
Isaiah 42 : 16 I will lead the blind by a way that they do not know,
I will guide them in paths that they do know.
the Spirit talking to the spirit will cause you to begin to see and know his path. you are at that place where the Spirit talks to the spirit.
Elijah knew this level of prayer. Where the Spirit meets the spirit and reveals the way.
In the same place where we left we see that Queen Jezebel threatens Elijah. He came to place in his life where he does not more way that he can walk in.
He said I came to the end of my way.
Here we see in this place that Elijah is experiencing Supernatural Encounters one after another
He encountered Angel of God
He encountered the Word of God
He encountered lots of outward appearances
– Here let it me just pause although he encountered an angel he did not stop at there, He was still at a place where we does not have a way for his solution. Many of us get satisfied perhaps when we encounter Angel, but those who are aware of this level of prayer will never get satisfied with the experience.
They will use the Strength that they received to go to the mountain of God Yehovade Paravathan (Horeb) Mountain of God.
Yet the Sound of Gentle Blowing (When Elijah heard the sound , the wrapped his face in his mantle and went out) The mantle that was made old through many years of prayers is used to cover his face. This still voice spoke to him.
Queen Jezebel who was a road block for Elijah and the people of God to prosper the encounter the small still voice had the way for it.
You go anoint Hazeal over Syria as King
You go anoint Jehu as King over Israel
You go anoint Elisha
Whatever escapes the sword of Hazel and whatever escapes Jehu will be killed by the Prophet Elisha.
The Spirit spoke to his spirit.
Let me repeat what I have said so long through the new testament what has been so far I said :
Once Disciples asked teach us to pray Jesus starts his prayer Our Heavenly Father – this level is the Place where we seek the face of the God as Father who with the help of the Spirit communicates his ways to us.
His ways are not known my anyone, but that is why 1st Corinthians 2 : 9 Things which the Eye has not seen, the ear has not heard and which have not entered the the heart of Man. All those that God has prepared for those who love Him.
For God has unveiled them and revealed them to us through the Spirit, the Spirit searches all things even the depths of God
Look at the person near you. Point at his ears. No eye, no ear, no heart has known this way. This way is unsearchable. This way is not known. This way is my way. The Spirit has spoken to my spirit. Your way is not my way. I am not going to come in your way ever. I’m not going to compete with you ever.
Every spirit of jealousy in the Christian church, may it be demolished through this revelation. Our God has no lack of ways. When we talk of our God he has to shortage of ways and 1st Corinthians 12 : 6 There are ways of working but It is the same God who produces all things in all believers.
2nd Corinthians 6 : 16 What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God.
“I will dwell among them and walk among them; And I will be their God and they shall be my People”
So come out from Among unbelievers and be separate sys the Lord
And Do not touch what is unclean and I will graciously receive you and welcome you.
and I will be a Father to you and you will be a My sons and daughters 7 : 1 Since we have such great promises let us cleanse ourseleves from everything that contaminates body and spirit.
Body and Spirit – This day I want to encourage you that clear up your body and the spirit.
Moses took his tabernacle went out of the camp to seek God
Elijah cleared the Mount Carmel from unclean idols and altars
Mount Carmel is your spirit.
Your Father’s Spirit shall your spirit and shall reveal you his ways.
Psalms 27 : 4 One thing I have asked of the Lord and that I will seek. That I will dwell in his house of the Lord all the days of my life
8th Verse When You said, “Seek My face my heart said to You “Your face, O Lord I will seek.”
10th Although my father and my mother have abandoned me, Yet Lord will take me up .
11th Teach me Your way O Lord
And lead me on a level path because of my enemies.
13th I would have despaired had I not believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord In the land of the living. Wait and confidently expect the Lord Be strong and Let your heart take courage;
Yes wait for and confidently expect the Lord.
